Break your non-food organic products out of the boutique! Specialty retail environments have long been the home of organic haute fashion and fine personal care products, but there is much to be gained by sharing those products with the broader consumer base that larger retail stores have to offer. There are two parts to this session: in the first, speakers will discuss maintaining the integrity of your brand as you bring your organic non-food product into the supermarket; in the second, speakers will describe finding a niche for your products in high-end department stores. You will learn to what degree consumers who shop in these types of stores understand the meaning of organic and how to appeal to the purchasing base you will find in these locations.
