Organic 101: USDA Organic - Compliance and enforcement

Thanks to an increase in funding and subsequent growth and reorganization at the USDA National Organic Program, a new Compliance and Enforcement Branch has been created. This team is responsible for conducting proactive compliance and outreach activities as well as enforcing organic production, handling, and labeling standards. NOP will be available in this session to give an update on their priorities, and provide a checklist for compliance that will prove invaluable to every organic company.
